BEALE Mrs. Elizabeth Chapman Beale of Windsor, mother of Walter L. Beale, administrator of Riverside Hospital, died early yesterday morning at her home after a long illness. She was the widow of Samuel S. Beale. Mrs. Beale is survived by three sons, Walter L. Beale of Newport News, Norman L. Beale of Charlotte, N.C., and Samuel H. Beale of Roanoke; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia B. Kernodle of Richmond; a brother, Turpin Whitley of Windsor; a sister, Mrs. J.M. Darden of Suffolk, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be at the Antioch Church, Isle of Wight County. ****************************************************************************** Funeral Today For Mrs. Beale Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Chapman Beale, 81, who died at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lillie A. Beale, in Windsor, Saturday at 12:15 a.m., will be conducted at the I.O. Hill Funeral Home this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. Ellis Clark and the Rev. B.A. Riddle. The widow of the late Samuel S. Beale and daughter of the late Leonard H. Whitley and Antoinette Eley Whitley, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Virgie B. Kernodle, of Richmond; three sons, Norman L. Beale, of Charlotte, N.C., Samuel H. Beale, of Roanoke, Walter L. Beale, of Newport News; one sister, Mrs. J.M. Darden, of this city; one brother, M. Turpin Whitley, of Nansemond County; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Mrs. Beale Buried Antioch Cemetery Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Chapman Beale, who died Saturday at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lillie A. Beale, in Windsor, were conducted yesterday at 2:30 p.m. at the I.O. Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Ellis N. Clark and the Rev. B.A. Riddle. Burial was in Antioch Christian Church cemetery. The male quartet of Colosse Baptist Church, composed of the Rev. Jack E. Boyles, Melvin Spivey, J.B. Avis and J.H. Avis, accompanied by Mrs. Webb Pinner, sang, "Life's Railway to Heaven," and "That Beautiful Land." The pall was of white gladioli, white carnations and lilies. Pallbearers were S.T. Holland, Dr. F.L. Steele, W.T. Joyner, Raleigh Whitley, George Franklin Whitley, Tratton Whitley, R.L. Lewis, and William Beale.
