All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Rites Held For Mrs. Leathy [sic; Leafy] Bailey Funeral services for Mrs. Leathy Wills Bailey, who died Tuesday, were conducted at the residence in Windsor yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. J.T. Morgan, the Rev J. Sidney Cobb, the Rev. B.A. Riddle, Dr. I.W. Johnson, the Rev. J.M. Roberts and the Rev. E.B. White officiated. A mixed quartet, accompanied by Mrs Sarah Whitley, sang "Abide With Me" and "Nearer My God to Thee." The pall was of red roses, Easter lilies and gardenias. Pallbearers were W.H. Johnson, F.R. Steele, S.T. Holland, W.T. Joyner, J.D. Saunders, Jr., C.K. Fulgham, George Vick and Boise Bell. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Mrs. Leafy Wills Bailey, 67, Died Dec. 15 in Windsor * * * Mrs. Leafy Wills Bailey, 67, wife of Lorenzo Bailey, died December 15th at her home in Windsor after a long illness. She was a daughter of the late Octavius Wills and Mattie Bradshaw Wills. Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. J.S. Cobb Jr. of Newport News; a son, C. Fred Bailey of Windsor; two brothers, A.O. Wills of Norfolk, and N.W. Wills of Sedley; three sisters, Mrs. J.G. Roberts of Windsor; Mrs. M.D. Boone of Norfolk, and Mrs. Raby Beale of Franklin; a granddaughter Carolyn Carolyn [sic] Cobb of Newport News, and two grandsons, James Leonard Cobb and Charles Sidney Cobb of Newport News.
