M. BEALE William M. Beale, 72, prominent and beloved resident of Isle of Wight County, died early Sunday at his home near Smithfield after a long illness. He was the oldest member of the Masonic Lodge of Zuni. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Addie Felts Beale; three daughters, Mrs. George A. Scott, and Miss Sallie A. Beale of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Rowell Seward of Smithfield; three sons, W.E. Beale of Norfolk, Carl M. Beale of Smithfield and Leonard Beale of Lynchburg and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Central Hill Baptist Church, of which Mr. Beale had been a member for many years and in which he was on the board of deacons. The Rev. George L. Kissinger officiated assisted by the Rev. L.F. Paulette. Burial was in Central Hill Cemetery.
