LENO ALFRED BILLUPS 

  Leno Alfred Billups, 80, a resident of Windsor, died April 13, 2000, in 
Chesapeake General Hospital.

  Born on Oct. 27, 1919, in Isle of Wight County, he was the son of the late 
Linwood Billups and Mary Alice Copeland Billups.  He was a retired employee 
of the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation, Windsor District. 
He was the husband of the late Laura Bishop Billups.

  He is survived by a daughter, Betty Ann Spiers of Waco, Texas; two sisters, 
Frances McDermitt of Cumberland, R.I., and Virginia B. Rawls and her husband, 
Joseph, of Zuni; two brothers, Earl Billups and his wife, Mabel, of Zuni and 
Frank Billups and his wife, Ginger, of Belhaven, N.C.; 16 nieces and nephews; 
and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was the brother of the late James 
Robert Billups, William A. Billups, Kenneth Raymond Billups and Jasper Joseph 
Billups.

  A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Waverly Cemetery by the 
Rev. Steve Bradshaw.  The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral 
Home, Wakefield, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and other times at the residence 
of Joseph and Virginia Rawls, Zuni.
