DELMAS HARVEY BLACKWELL 

   A funeral service for Delmas Harvey Blackwell, 22, of Rt. 1, Lot 5, Airport 
Trailer park, Franklin, was held Monday, July 19, at 2:30 p.m. in Beaver Dam 
Baptist Church by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr.

   Burial was in Beaver Dam Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were J.W. Lee, Hank Drake, Jerry Allen, Bobby Vick, Richard 
Livesay, David Dundalow and Rick Ivey.

   Blackwell died Friday, July 16, of injuries received in an automobile 
accident near Franklin.

   A native of Rockbridge County, he had lived in the Franklin area for the 
past 12 years.

   He was a son of Howard F. and Mrs. Berry R. [sic; Barry A.] Fix Blackwell 
and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.  He was a shipping clerk for 
Smithfield Packing Co.

   Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister, Miss Sharon D. 
Blackwell, Franklin; three brothers Cecil M. Blackwell, Poquoson; Fred D. 
Blackwell, Providence, R.I.; and Donnie R. Blackwell, Littleton, Colorado.
