OGIE ANN GAY BLAND

   WALTERS - A funeral service for Mrs. Ogie Gay Bland, 58, of Walters was 
held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the 
Rev. Raymond T. Grissom.

   Burial was in Mr. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Charles Crawford 
Bland and a daughter of Elisha and Mrs. Mary Lou Stephenson Gay.

   She was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, the Ladies' Bible Class, 
and the Missionary Circle.

   She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Louise Redd of Walters, Mrs. W.L. 
Ricks Jr. of Portsmouth, Mrs. Herman Stephenson of Suffolk; one son, C. Allen 
Bland of Windsor; one sister, Mrs. Otis V. Joyner of Walters; one brother, 
Arthur L. Gay of Walters; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one 
step great grandchild.
