Mrs. COREEN BALLARD 

Departed this life at the Retreat for the Sick Sunday March 6, 1949, at 2 p.m. 
Mrs. Coreen Ballard, of Windsor, Va.  She is survived by her husband, Mr. Alex 
Ballard; four daughters, Miss Rosa Ballard, of Windsor, Mrs. Jessie Eley, Mrs. 
Stella B. Lewis, Mrs. Myrtle Mahatha, of Richmond, Va.; three sons Mr. Shavers 
and Clarence Ballard, of Richmond, VA; Francis Ballard, Windsor, Va; one 
foster son, Mr. Ray W. Drew, of Windsor, one sister, Mrs. Francis Stafford, 
of Washington, D.C.; one brother Mr. Merrill Bornor, of Buffalo, N.Y.; two 
sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, seven grandchildren, two daughters-in-law, 
three sons-in-law, nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. 
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at Chapel Grove Christian Church, 
Windsor, Va., Rev. R.R. Briggs officiating, Henry Tynes, Funeral Director.
