GUTHRIE EMUEL BALLARD

   Windsor - Funeral services were held for Guthrie Emuel Ballard, 83, Sunday in 
Colosse Baptist Church by the Rev. Donald Trump. Burial was in the church 
cemetery.

   Ballard died Friday in the Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.

   He was a native of Isle of Wight County and the husband of Mrs. Alma Spivey 
Ballard. He was a member of Colosse Baptist Church and its Fellowship Class and 
the Young Heart Club.

   He was an Army veteran of World War I.

   Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Patricia B. Larus of Richmond; a 
son, G.E. Ballard Jr., of Franklin; a brother, R.A. Ballard of Courtland and six 
grandchildren.

   Memorial donations may be made to Isle of Wight County Rescue Squad.
