Baines, sister of Miss Lucy Baines, and of Mrs. J.T. Hines of Suffolk, and J.S Baines of Portsmouth, were held Sunday at Windsor, Va., conducted by Rev. J.T. Kitchen. VA, parents unknown She was the daughter of Riddick & Permelia (HARRELL) BAINES. The 1870 Census - Cypress Dist., Nansemond Co. - gives Permelia, b. May 1870. Her father was a Confederate veteran, having served as a private in Hunter's Co., 59th VA Militia (Infantry).
