Mrs. Mamie Lee Baines Dies in Newport News 

  NEWPORT NEWS - Mrs. Mamie Lee Baines, of 1330 Roanoke Ave., Newport News, 
died Monday in the Newport News city hospital after a long illness.  She was 
80 years old. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, Mrs. Baines had been a member of the 
Congregational Christian Church of that city. 

  She is survived by a son, Calvin L. Baines, of Newport News; two sisters, 
Mrs. E.G. Spivey of Hampton, Va., and Mrs. C.T. Garner of Windsor; three 
brothers, S.F. Vaughan of Gates, N.C., W.R. Vaughan of Portsmouth, and H.A. 
Vaughan of Windsor, and a granddaughter. 

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Peninsula Funeral Home 
in Newport News, by Rev. Jessie H. Dollar, pastor of the First Congregational 
Christian Church.  Burial was to follow at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery 
in Windsor.

  Mrs. Mamie Lee Baines of 1330 Roanoke Avenue, Newport News, died Monday, 
June 9, in a Newport News hospital after a long illness.  She was 80 years 
old. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, Mrs. Baines had been a member of the

  Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, June 11, at the Peninsula 
Funeral Home in Newport News by Rev. Jesse H. Dollar, paster of the First 
Congregational Christian Church.  Burial was in the Antioch Christian Church 
Cemetery, Windsor.
