Bracey Is Buried at Windsor WINDSOR - A funeral service for Clyde A. Bracey, who died Friday, was held Sunday at 4 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel at Wakefield by the Rev. William A. Grissom, pastor of the Windsor Christian Church. Burial was in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery near Windsor. Pallbearers were W.D. Barrett, Frank Brown, W.R. Joyner, Shirley T. Holland, Rufus Jenkins, Ryland Gillette, Robert Jones and Edwin Whitley. ****************************************************************************** C. A. Bracey, 58, Buried August 14 At Antioch Church Clyde A. Bracey, 58, of Windsor, died at 1 P.M. Friday, August 12, 1960, in a Suffolk Hospital, two days after a heart attack. He was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, a livestock broker, farmer and buyer of farm produce and hogs. He was a member of the Windsor Christian Church. Mr. Bracey was a son of the late Robert S. Bracey and Mrs. Nellie Pierce Bracey. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Gladys Grant Bracey; seven daughters, Mrs. Thomas Gray and Mrs. Marvin L. Pruden of Chuckatuck; Mrs. Bradley T Scott and Mrs. E.C. Richardson Jr. of Suffolk; Mrs. R. Forest Scott of Smithfield; Mrs Cecil R. Redd of Walters; and Glenda Gale Bracey; four sons, C.A. Bracey Jr. of Richmond, Benjamin F. Bracey, Tyrone Bracey and William S. Bracey; three brothers, L.R. Bracey and Henry Bracey of Ivor; and L.E. Bracey of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Mary B. Goodrich of Smithfield. and Mrs. Ora B. Parr of Suffolk; and twelve grandchildren. A funeral service was conducted at Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, Sunday, August 14, 1960, at 4 P.M. by the Rev. William A. Grissom of Windsor Christian Church. Mr. Bracey, son of Robert S. and Nettie Pierce Bracey, was a native and lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County. A prominent farmer, produce and livestock broker, he was also a member of the Windsor Christian Church and the Windsor Ruritan Club. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Grant Bracey; eleven children, Mrs. Thomas Gray, Mrs. B.T. Scott, Miss Glenda Gale Bracey, Benjamin F. Bracey, Tyrone Bracey, William S. Bracey, all of Windsor; Mrs. M.L. Pruden, Chuckatuck; C.A. Bracey, Jr., Richmond; Mrs. E.C. Richardson, Jr., Suffolk; Mrs. R. Forest Scott, Smithfield, and Mrs. Cecil R. Redd, Walters. Also, two sisters, Mrs. Mary B. Goodrich, Smithfield, and Mrs. Ota B. Parr, Suffolk; three brothers, L.R. Bracey and Henry Bracey, both of Ivor, and L.E. Bracey, Norfolk; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
