LIZZIE JOHNSON BRACEY

   CARRSVILLE - Mrs. Lizzie Johnson Bracey, 83, died in her home here 
Wednesday afternoon after a brief illness.

   A lifelong resident here, she was a daughter of George W. and Mrs. 
Margaret Carson Johnson and the widow of John R. Bracey.  She was a 
member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and its Woman's Missionary Union. 
She had been a teacher of its Young Married Women's Class 40 years.

   Survivors include a daughter, Miss Josie E. Bracey of Carrsville, 
and two sisters, Mrs. Gertie Kyle and Mrs. Jachin Forbes of Franklin.

   A funeral service was conducted in Beaver Dam Church Friday at 2 p.m. 
by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor and the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of 
Franklin Baptist Church.  Burial was in Beaver Dam Church Cemetery. 
The body was brought to the church at 1 p.m. from W.J.M. Holland & Sons 
Funeral Home, Franklin.

   Pallbearers were Jarvis Howell, Hunter Daughtrey, Willie Carr, William 
Rose, James Bracey, Jr., Willie Winborne, E.H. Whitley and Sam O. Butler.
