JOHN ROBERT BRACEY* 

   John Robert Bracey, 81-year old farmer of the Carrsville community, died 
Monday, February 4, at his home after a long illness.

   He was the son of the late, John E. and Elizabeth Whitfield Bracey of Isle of 
Wight County and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

   Mr. Bracey is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson Bracey, and a 
daughter, Miss Josie Bracey of Carrsville.

   Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Beaver Dam Baptist 
Church with the pastor, Rev. E.C. Thornton, officiating. Burial was in the 
church cemetery.

   Active pallbearers were Willie Carr, R.L. Miles, Jarvis Howell, Emmitt Rawls, 
James Bracey, Jr., J.F. Bradshaw, Jr., William Rose and Jimmy Duck. Honorary 
pallbearers were friends of the family.
