Littleton Ezekiel Bracey Sr. passed away to be with the Lord in Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth, on May 27, 2000. He was 83 years old, having been born on May 7, 1917. He was the son of the late Robert Cisco [sic*] Bracey and Nettie Frances Pierce Bracey and a native of Isle of Wight County. He was an elder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Norfolk. He lived for 44 years at 425 Warner Circle in Norfolk. L.E. Bracey was the owner of Windsor Auto Auction in Windsor, Va., after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and having a store in Zuni, Va. When in Norfolk, he worked for several car dealerships and won Salesman of the Year numerous times. He enjoyed his work and worked hard to provide for his family. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Oma Elizabeth Maston Bracey, and eight beautiful children and their spouses, Myra and Lloyd Kartchner, Annette and Jim Tabb, Leigh-Ellen and Ferris Kent, L.E. Bracey Jr., William and Rebecca Bracey, Richard and Kim Bracey, Roberta and John Brassell and Amy and Tony Doyle. He leaves behind 31 grandchildren, Amy Bates, Steven, Jason, Matthew, Nathan and David Kartchner, Sarah and Jimmy Tabb, Robert, Richard, Rachael, Rebecca, Ryan and Reagan Kent, Brittany Bracey, Paul Melloserdolf, Stephanie, Rachel, Marcus, Jaqueline Bracey, Ashley, Jessica, Brianna, Natalee Bracey, John, Brittany, Jordan, Shaylee and Spencer Brassell, Christine Decker and Brooke Doyle. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at L.D.S. Norfolk Chapel, Greendale Ave., with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will be at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery immediately following the service at 5:30 p.m. Afterwards, friends and family are invited to the home of Annette and Jim Tabb, 3004 Prince of Wales Court, in the Western Branch section of the city of Chesapeake. Memorial gifts may be made to Operation Smile. Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
