BRACEY HELD SUICIDE - Last Rites At 3 Sunday at Boykins [sic*] A verdict of suicide was returned yesterday by Dr. Louis Loeb, acting coorner [sic; coroner], after the body of R.A. Bracey had been found in the Bowler's Auto exchange office at 35th St. and Huntington Ave, dead from a gunshot wound. The body was sent yesterday to Boykins, where funeral services and interment are to be held at 3 Sunday afternoon. Further details of the last rites were not known here last night. The body was discovered about 8:20 a.m. yesterday by a porter cleaning the room. It was lying, Detective Capt. W.F. Peach said, on some automobile seat cushions on the floor and a .38-calibre German-made automatic pistol lay beside the corpse. A bullet, Peach said, had passed through the heart and emerged from the body in the back. Investigation was made by Peach and Detective Lt. Herman F. Drummond. Mr. Bracey lived at 518 G. St., Copeland Park. His exact age was not known, but was estimated at between 35 and 40. He was an automobile salesman employed by the Bowler concern. The Bowler management said that so far as was known, he was normal except for having suffered considerably recently from a sinus infection. Surviving are his wife, three children, and several brothers and sisters at his native town of Windsor. ****************************************************************************** ROBERT ARTHUR BRACEY SUFFOLK - Sept. 29 - Funeral service for Robert Arthur Bracey, 40, of Newport News, who died on Wednesday, will be conducted Sunday at Antioch Christian Church at 3 p.m. with the Rev.
