BARRETT DIED XMAS NIGHT Funeral services for Walter Strouse Barrett who died of a heart attack in Suffolk Saturday night, December 25th, were conducted at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, December 28th, at Antioch Christian Church and burial was in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ava Darden Barrett; five daughters, Misses Eunice Barrett, Elsie Barrett, Effie Barrett, Betty Barrett and Christine Barrett, all of Chuckatuck; one son, Edwin Barrett, of Chuckatuck; three sisters, Mrs. D.M. Cobb of Zuni; Mrs. W.A. Cobb of Zuni and Mrs. C.E. Tomlin of Zuni; two brothers, Joseph A. Barrett of Zuni, and M.T. Barrett of Smithfield; two half-brothers, Edgar C. Barrett of Newport News; Emmett G. Barrett of Wakefield, and a stepmother, Mrs. Eliza Barrett of Hampton. BARRETT, Sr., is buried there also, with both his wives.
