William Barrett 

  CARRSVILLE - William Dennis Barrett, 82, a native of Isle of Wight County, 
died Wednesday in a hospital. 

  A retired dealer in livestock, he was a member of Antioch Congregational 
Christian Church in Windsor and Woodmen of the World.  He was a charter 
member of Wakefield Community Hunt Club. 

  Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Bland Barrett; a son, Maple Tom Barrett 
of Wakefield; a daughter, Mrs. Robert E. Rose of Carrsville; and five 
grandchildren. 

  A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Purviance Funeral Chapel, 
Wakefield, by the Rev. Richard L. Peerey.  Burial will be in Antioch Church 
Cemetery. 

  The family will be at the residence.  Memorial donations may be sent to the 
Antioch Church memorial fund or the local rescue squads.
