CLAUDIUS JACOB BRADSHAW WIDELY KNOWN ISLE OF WIGHT PHYSICIAN DIES Dr. Claude J. Bradshaw, 68, widely known and beloved physician of Isle of Wight County, a resident and family doctor for Carrsville and vicinity for the past 45 years, died Tuesday morning at Lakeview Hospital after an illness of two weeks. Dr. Bradshaw was born near Carrsville March 10, 1869, and was the son of Jacob T. and Mrs. Fannie Saunders Bradshaw. He graduated from the King Military Academy of Suffolk, and later, in 1891, graduated in medicine from the Medical College of Virginia, and settled in his native village. He was married in 1894 to Miss Clara Cutchins of Roanoke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Cutchins. She died in 1928. Of this union there survives one son, J.J. Bradshaw, of Carrsville. In 1932 he was married to Miss Thelma Leith, of the Eastern Shore, who survived him. Of this marriage there survive also two children, Claude J. Bradshaw, Jr. and Mollie Bradshaw. Dr. Bradshaw is survived also by six grandchildren, Mrs. Nurney Whitley of Franklin, Misses Claudine, Margaret and Judith Bradshaw, J.J. Bradshaw, Jr. and Mason Saunders Bradshaw, and one great-grandchild, Joan Whitley, of Franklin. The body was taken from the hospital to the W.J.M. Holland & Son funeral home at Franklin. Funeral services were conducted at the grave in Beaver Dam church yard by Rev. Elisha Bradshaw of Isle of Wight, assisted by Rev. J.
