All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ FRANCES REBECCA VAUGHAN BRIDGER Mrs. Frances Rebecca Bridger died at her home near Sedley, Virginia, Thursday, November 20, 1919, in her seventy-fourth year. She was a faithful and consistent member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, and though living quite a distance from Beaver Dam, was always in touch with her old church. She was the daughter of the late Uriah Vaughan and Rebecca Vaughan, and was born in Isle of Wight county near Franklin. She leaves to mourn their loss 2 sons, Charlie and Oscar Bridger, and three daughters, Mrs. Evie Holland of Carrsville, Mrs. Clara Hill of Sedley and Mrs. Lillie Stephens of Vicksville. Never was a mother more esteemed in the eyes of the children than was Francis Bridger, whose pleasure it was to always do something for someone else. She was laid to rest in Beaver Dam cemetery and the community in which this woman lived has suffered a real loss. Rev. G.R. Pankey officiated at the services. The active pallbearers were W.G.
