JOSIAH BRADSHAW 

JOSIAH BRADSHAW, DIED OCTOBER 9TH IN NORFOLK 

  Josiah Bradshaw, 90, died in a Norfolk* hospital, October 9th, at 1:40 p.m. 
A native of Isle of Wight County, he had resided at 324 Duke Street, in 
Norfolk, the last two years.  He was the husband of the late Mary Beal* 
Bradshaw.

  He is survived by one brother, George Bradshaw, of Suffolk, and one daughter-
in-law, Mrs. Gladys Bradshaw, of Norfolk.

Isle of Wight Co. native, d. 9 Oct 1947, Princess Anne Co.*, age circa 90*, 
interred in Forest Lawn Cemetery*, Norfolk, 10 Oct 1947, 
"The Smithfield (VA) Times," Vol. 30, No. 20, Oct. 22, 1947 

*Additional information: 

His D.Cert. (#23231 {Kempsville #145}) gives b. 24 Jun 1849, Isle of Wight Co.;
   the Norfolk Municipal Hospital was actually in Princess Anne Co. 

His wife's maiden was spelled BEALE; they m. 22 Aug 1888 (So.Co. MB6:354); 
   he is given as 26, widowed, b. Southampton, sn/o Elijah & Elizabeth. 
   Mary was the wid/o Lewis W. COBB, m. 11 Mar 1879 (So.Co. MB3:462) 

Josiah 1m. 24 Feb 1886, Anne E. Brantner, dt/o Th. & Catherine; 
   he is given as 25 & 7 mos., single, b. IoW, sn/o Elijah & Elizabeth.

Census returns generally indicate b. ca. 1858.
