(Special Dispatch to The Times.) WINDSOR, VA., October 3. - Mr. Joshua Bradshaw, a highly respected citizen of the community, died at his home, about one mile from here, this morning about 5 o'clock. Mr. Bradshaw was eighty-four years old. His health had been failing for several years, but not until a week ago did the final attack come. He leaves nine children, all of whom are married. ****************************************************************************** JOSHUA BRADSHAW DEAD. Sudden End of an Aged Isle of Wight Citizen. WINDSOR, VA., October 3. - (Special.) - Mr. Joshua Bradshaw, a very prominent farmer residing near this place, was found dead in bed this morning about 5 o'clock by his son, with whom he was living. Mr. Bradshaw was 85 years of age, and had been in feeble health for some time. He had been a subscriber to the Dispatch for a number of years and was a true and tried Democrat. He leaves a large family of children, grandchildren, and friends. ****************************************************************************** Joshua Bradshaw's Death. CREWE, VA., October 4. - (Special.) - Captain W.T. Bradshaw received this morning information of the sudden death of his father, Mr. Joshua Bradshaw, of Windsor. Captain and Mrs. Bradshaw left on the morning train for Windsor. ****************************************************************************** Deaths: Near Guinea, Caroline county, aged 74, Dr. J.A. Chandler, a prominent physician; near Barterbrook, Augusta county, Mr. John T. Christian; in Cumberland county, aged 21, Miss Mattie Lee, daughter of Mr. A.W. Lee; near Windsor, aged 84, Mr. Joshua Bradshaw; at Manassas, Mr. Benjamin Pridmore. ****************************************************************************** (Special Dispatch to The Times.) [no grave photo] His wife's name appears variously Emaline, Emeline, Emmeline, &c.; daughter of Parker & Abba HOWELL, she d. 13 Apr 1882, of paralysis, age 58. (Isle of Wight Co. D.Reg.) He appears in the 1900 Census - Windsor Dist., Isle of Wight Co. - with the family of his son Luther F. His son Luther (1842 - 1905) was a disabled Confederate veteran, having served as a private in Co. D, 16th VA Infantry. His buried in a BRADSHAW family cemetery on Old Suffolk Rd.
