[...] I was called to Antioch church, Isle of Wight county, Virginia, to conduct the funeral services of Mrs. Laura Jane Bradshaw, who died at her home near Windsor, Va., on Sept. 4th, 1900. Aged 64 years, 5 months and 21 days. Her dear husband, Bro. Wiley Bradshaw, preceded her to the grave and to heaven, just five years and four days. No doubt she met him in glory to weep and to part no more forever. She was the youngest child of Wm. K. Johnson and sister of the late Madison Johnson. She was a dutiful daughter, a faithful wife, a loving mother and a true friend. She embraced the Christian religion when a mere child and united with Antioch Christian church and remained true and faithful to her church to the day of her detth. She only left the church militaut for the church triumphant and in glory. She leaves to mourn their loss six children, three sons, three daughters, and many friends. Her remains were placed beside those of her husband in the old church cemetery to await the coming of her Lord. The Lord bless and comfort the dear children, now fatherless and motherless. H.H.
