"Miss Nannie," as she was known to her many friends, was born in Isle of Wight County and was the daughter of the late Major I.W. and Mrs. Amanda Louisa Branch Duck of Walters and widow of Jacob T. Bradshaw. Surviving her are two nieces, Mrs. J. Clinton Bradshaw of Carrsville, and Mrs. Wilbur V. Bradshaw of Walters; two great-nephews, Joel Bradshaw of Carrsville and Major W.V. Bradshaw, Jr., of Shelbyville, Ky.; three great- nieces, Mrs. Guy Harcum and Miss Annie Virginia Bradshaw of Carrsville, and Mrs. S.H. Cooper of Norfolk, and a number of great-great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, November 14, at Mt. Carmel Christian Church at 3 o'clock by Dr. I.W. Johnson and Rev. Fred T. Wright, burial following in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The active pallbearers were: Willie Carr, Taylor Holland, John Ballard, Horace Hedgepeth, Richard Drewry, Jasper Carr, Sherman Johnson, Leftin Rhodes, J.C. Bradshaw and Dr. Gavin Bradshaw.
