Worrell was called to Carrsville Saturday by the death of her father, T.J. Bradshaw. [...] ****************************************************************************** NEWS OF THE WEEK FROM CARRSVILLE [...] Death of T. J. Bradshaw On Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, Thomas Jefferson Bradshaw died at his home near here after a short illness. He was born in Isle of Wight County, December 19, 1848, and was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon for nearly thirty years. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from Beaver Dam Church, Rev. G.R. Pankey conducting the services, assisted by Rev. Mr. Thompson, pastor of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. The deceased was buried in the church cemetery by the side of his wife. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. The pallbearers were six deacons of Beaver Dam: George Vaughan, Robert Brett, Lafayette Rawls, Charles H. Hayes, Walter L. Bryant, Lemuel Harcum, and M.E. Lawrence and John R. Councill of Franklin. Mr. Bradshaw is survived by two sons, Willie Bradshaw of Franklin and Percy Bradshaw of Zuni; two daughters, Mrs. T.J. Livsy [sic; Livsie] of Franklin and Mrs. K.D. Worrell of Newsoms; one sister, Mrs. Effie Holland of Norfolk, and one brother, George Bradshaw, of Southampton County.
