All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIE JEFFERSON BRADSHAW Willie Jefferson Bradshaw, 81, prominent retired farmer of Isle of Wight County, died at the residence near Franklin on Friday, May 27, after an illness of several months. Mr. Bradshaw was the husband of Mrs. Nettie [sic; Nannie*] Bunn Bradshaw and the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Martha Ann Bradshaw of Isle of Wight County. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, in which he served for many years as deacon; he was also a former treasurer of the church. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Miss Martha Anne Bradshaw of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Bradshaw Lifsie of Franklin and Mrs. Clara Bradshaw Worrell of Newsoms; and a brother, Thomas Percy Bradshaw of Zuni. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock by Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were J.L. Dail, Jack Powers, Bobby Worrell, C.T. Worrell, E.E. Worrell, Fred D. Worrell, K.D. Worrell, and L.F. Worrell.
