J. Sidney Cobb. The church choir sang "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," "Shall We Meet Beyond the River" and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again." Active pallbearers were G.S. Williams, Sam Rountree, Curtis Wills, Abram Norfleet, Horace Johnson, Walter Byrum, Ovid Byrd and Nelson Gardner. Friends of the family acted as honorary pallbearers. There were many floral tributes. Burial was in the church cemetery.
