BETTY SAVEDGE BARLOW

   SMITHFIELD - A funeral service for Mrs. Betty Savedge Barlow,  75, was 
held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Smithfield Baptist Church by the Rev. Warren F. 
Taylor.  Burial was in St. Luke’s Memorial Cemetery with Colonial Funeral 
Home in charge.

   Mrs. Barlow died Friday in her home.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Johnnie Bernard 
Barlow.  She was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church and before her death 
was the oldest active member.

   Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty B. Elliott; four sons, Vernon 
Leigh Barlow, William Gordon Barlow, Thomas Glenn Barlow, and Carl Walter 
Barlow, all of Smithfield; and six grandchildren.
