Barlow, widow of the late Richard Carson Barlow, died at her home in the county last Saturday evening after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Barlow at the time of her death was 79 years of age. The deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. O.G. Brock and Mrs. Caleb Batten of the county; one sisters, Miss Virginia Kitchen and one brother, W.R. Kitchen, of Wakefield, Va.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ida Delk and Miss Sarah Barlow, also of the county, and a host of other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers were W.W. Kitchen, Julian B. Kitchen, Eddie S. Kitchen, Jasper Kitchen, Fenton Jones and Carson Delk; honorary pallbearers were close friends of the deceased. Burial services were conducted at Mill Swamp Baptist Church by the Rev. L.F. Paulette, of Smithfield. Interment was in the church cemetery and was attended by a host of friends.
