ONE HURT, ONE DEAD IN HUNTING ACCIDENT 

  One brother dead and another painfully wounded was the tragic ending of a 
blackbird shoooting by Frank Brown, 16-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles 
Brown, of Isle of Wight County, late Thursday. 

  Frank, who with two younger brothers, was in the field shooting birds, 
called to the small boys to pick them up.  His nine-year-old brother ran in 
front of the gun, which accidentally discharged, the load striking the boy 
in the forehead, and one stray shot taking effect in the arm of the second 
brother, aged 11. 

  Funeral services were held for the younger brother Sunday afternoon at 
Antioch Church.

His widowed mother 2m. 1948 widower Stephen "Joe" BRASWELL; she d. 23 Sep 
   1949, and was buried 26 Sep at Antioch (D.Cert. 20780 {#Windsor #13}); 
   she is not marked, either.  Joe is also buried there, with his first wife.
