Brandon SMITHFIELD - Owen Glenmore Brandon, 59, of Route 3, died Wednesday in Virginia Beach General Hospital. Born in Gadsden County, Fla., he was retired from self-employment. He attended Mill Swamp Baptist Church, Ivor. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Reba Mavis Brandon; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Williams of Halifax and Mrs. Shirley Sunday of Salt Lake City; two sons, David Owen Brandon of Smithfield and William W. "Bill" Brandon of Halifax; four sisters, Mrs. Betty Bloodsworth of Starke, Fla., Mrs. Jamie Bowman of Quincy, Fla., and Mrs. Margaret Martin and Mrs. Elizabeth Sullivan, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; two brothers, Clarence Brandon of Bristol, Fla., and William M. Brandon of Quincy, and five grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Mill Swamp Baptist Church by the Rev. Clarke A. Wiseman. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Colonial Funeral Home here from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. ****************************************************************************** OWEN GLENMORE BRANDON Owen Glenmore Brandon, age 59, of Route 3, Smithfield, died Wednesday, Sept. 24 in the General Hospital of Virginia Beach. Mr. Brandon was a native of Gadsden County, Fla., and retired from self-employment. He attended Mill Swamp Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Brandon was the son of the late Claude W. and Leona Miller Brandon. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Reba Mavis Brandon; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Williams of Halifax and Mrs. Shirley Sunday of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sons; David Owen Brandon of Smithfield and William W. (Bill Brandon): four sisters, Mrs. Betty Bloodsworth of Starke, Fla., Mrs. Margaret Martin and Mrs. Elizabeth Sullivan, both of Tallahassee, Fla., Mrs. Jamie Bowmen of Quincy, Fla.; two brothers, Clarence Brandon of Bristol, Fla. And William M. Brandon of Quincy, Fla.; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, September 28, at 3 p.m. in the Mill Swamp Baptist Church. The Rev. Clarke A. Wiseman officiated. Interment was in the Mill Swamp Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gordon Nelson, William Munford, Russell Daughtrey, William T. Stephenson, Brandford Stanley Jr. and Delk Batten. Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
