ISLE OF WIGHT - George Thomas Cobb Sr., 94, died Thursday night in De Paul Hospital, Norfolk, after a short illness. A native of Southampton County, he had lived most of his life in Isle of Wight County. He was a member of the Sedley Friends Meeting. He is survived by one daughter, [Mrs. Fannie C. Bland] of Norfolk; two sons, A.J. Cobb of Hampton and George T. Cobb Jr. of Isle of Wight; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Joyner and Mrs. Anne Scott, both of Franklin; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Antioch Christian Church, Isle of Wight County. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
