Cofield, 80, who died at the home of his brother, H.P. Cofield, Sr., near Windsor at 10:50 p.m. Friday, will be conducted at the residence at 3 p.m. today by the Rev. R.H. Shapland and the Rev. J.M. Roberts. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Daisy Cofield Carter, of Florence, S.C.; two sons, G.W. Cofield, of Windsor, H.W. Cofield, of Hopewell; four grandchildren, Miss Virginia Cofield, of Windsor, Miss Nora Hughes, of Florence, S.C., Nolan Cofield and Miss Nancy Cofield, of Hopewell; one great- grandchild, Noland Ross Cofield; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Donglas, of Wilson, N.C., Mrs. Eunice Atkins, of Fredericksburg; two brothers, H.P. Cofield and J.J. Cofield, of Windsor; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Woodland Methodist Church. Interment will be in the family cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Rites Held For Virginius Cofield Funeral services for Virginius Washington Cofield, who died Friday night at the home of his brother, H.F. Cofield, near Windsor, were conducted at the residence yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock by the Rev. R.H Shanland and the Rev. J.M. Roberts. The Woodland Methodist Church choir, accompanied be Mrs. E.H. Doggett, sang, "God Will Take Care of You." Rev. Roberts read Tennyson's "Crossing the Bar." The pall was of Easter lilies and red roses. Pallbearers were Luther Strawn, Leslie Scott, H.H. Holland, Fleetwood Garner, William Laine, R.L. Griffin, C.S. Butler and Lane Gwaltney. Interment was in the family cemetery.
