CHAPMAN Funeral services for Henley Chapman, prominent citizen of Smithfield, and member of one of Isle of Wight’s old and well-known families, who died Friday at 12 o’clock, after a short illness of pneumonia, were conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Trinity Methodist Church, Smithfield by the Rev. L.D. Stables, pastor, assisted by the Rev. L.F. Paulette, pastor of Smithfield Baptist Church. Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers were W.H. Chapman, T.C. Chapman, J.E. Chapman, W.N. Cobb, J.T. Cox, S.N. Whitley, C.S. Hart and R.R. Bowden. Friends of the family served as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Chapman was a son of the late George D. Chapman and Mrs. Willie Ida Edwards Chapman, of Isle of Wight. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Louise Holland Chapman; four sons, Charles Henley, Matthew, Joel and Fred R. Chapman, all of Smithfield, four sisters, Mrs. W.R. Cox, of Smithfield, Mrs. S.W. Randolph of Richmond; Mrs. W.G. Saunders of Chuckatuck; Mrs. L.D. Linthleum of Kentucky; three brothers, D.W., George D., and John E. Chapman, all of Isle of Wight County. [Henley C.
