Lewis Chapman 

  Lewis Homer Chapman, 72, died Saturday in Southampton Memorial Hospital, 
Franklin.  He was born in Isle of Wight County and was a retired farmer.  He 
was a member of Antioch Congregational Christian Church and attended the men's 
Bible class. 

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Brown Chapman; two daughters, 
Mrs. Jack C. Arrington of Windsor and Mrs. Gerald E. Whitley of Franklin; a 
brother, Bernard Chapman of Portsmouth; and two grandchildren. 

  The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today in Purviance Funeral 
Chapel, Wakefield, by the Revs. V.I. Hunter and Conrad Cornelius.  Burial will 
be in Windsor Cemetery. 

  Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Rescue Squad.

LEWIS HOMER CHAPMAN 

   Zuni - Lewis Homer Chapman, 72, a retired farmer, died Saturday in 
Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.  He was a native of Isle of Wight 
County. 

   He was a member of Antioch Congregational Christian Church and its Men's 
Bible Class.

   Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Brown Chapman; two daughters, Mrs. 
Jack C. Arrington of Windsor and Mrs. Gerald E. Whitley of Franklin; a
