CHAPMAN IVOR - Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie Joyner Chapman will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Antioch Christian Church near Windsor by the Rev. Thomas D. Sutton and the Rev. James B. Crocker. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken from Purviance Funeral Home to the church at 1 p.m. Mrs. Chapman, 76, died Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Willie Wells, near Ivor. She was a native of Isle of Wight County and was a daughter of Thomas J. [sic; J. Thomas] and Mrs. Josephine Daughtrey Joyner and the widow of Obie Chapman. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church. Survivors include another daughter, Mrs. Edward E. O'Berry of Wakefield; three sons, Lewis H. Chapman of Windsor, Willie B. Chapman of Portsmouth and James H. Chapman of Zuni; three sisters, Mrs. Ernest Cones of Suffolk, Mrs. Ocie Bradshaw of Zuni and Mrs. H.R. Carter of Germany; 14 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. ****************************************************************************** SALLIE HESTER JOYNER CHAPMAN Ivor - Mrs Sallie (Hester) Joyner Chapman, 76, died Sunday afternoon in the home of a daughter, Mrs Willie Wells of near Ivor. She was a native of Isle of Wight County. She was the daughter of Thomas J. and Mrs. Josephine Daughtrey Joyner and the widow of Obie Chapman. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church.
