ERNEST BETTS COFER 

Ernest Betts Cofer, 62*, a former resident of Isle of Wight died Tuesday, 
May 31, 1977 in Savannah, Ga.  He was copy editor for the Savannah Daily 
News Press and a member of Christ Episcopal Church.  Survived by a brother, 
Sidney B. Cofer; two sister, Mrs. J.R. Crockett and Miss Ethel Cofer; and 
three nephews.  Funeral service will be held Monday, June 6 at 3 p.m. at the 
graveside in Mill Swamp Church Cemetery.  Visitation hours will be Sunday 
from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield.
