Cofer; his mother, Mrs. Sallie D. Cofer, of Smithfield, a daughter, Mrs. D.M. Batten, of Norfolk; four sons, Samuel R. Cofer, of Prince George, and Elbert P., Cofer, George T. Cofer, and Hardy D. Cofer, all of Smithfield; two brothers, Wesley R. Cofer, of Newport News; and Paul D. Cofer, of Norfolk; two sister, Mrs. J.M. Batten, of Nashville, Tenn.; and Mrs. L.W. Hearn, Jr. of Panama City, Canal Zone; and six grandchildren.
