Funeral Today 
       ___ 

  Mrs. Jett L. Cox, widow of R.B. Cox, died at Rescue early Wednesday morning. 

  She was born in Spring Grove in Surry County, but has been a life long 
resident of Isle of Wight County. 

  She is survived by two daughters - Mrs. Lillian Johnson, of Richmond, Mrs. 
Sidney R. Johnson, of Carrollton; 5 sons, Clyde C. Cox, of Windsor, Willie H. 
Cox, of Elberon; Frank T. [sic; P.] Cox, of Newport News; Leonard E. Cox, of 
Smithfield, and Robert E. Cox, of Richmond; ten grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren. 

  Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) at 3:30 at the Roberts and 
Johnson Funeral Home at Smithfield, conducted by Rev. Paul Best.  Burial will 
be in St. Luke's Cemetery.
