COX DIES AT HOME NEAR RESCUE _____ Robert B. Cox, died at his home at Rescue Sunday May 19, after a brief illness. He was born in Sussex County and was the son of Thomas R. and Marina A. Cox.* He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jett Maynard Cox and the following children: Mrs. Lillian Johnson, of Richmond; Mrs. Sidney R. Johnson, of Rescue; Clyde C. Cox, of Windsor, Willie H. Cox, of Elberon; Frank P. Cox, Newport News; Leonard E. Cox, Smithfield; Robert E. Cox, of Richmond; eleven grandchildren and a brother, Emett L. Cox of Washington, D.C. Robert B. COX, farmer, b. George's D.Cert. (#13554) gives their parents as James Thomas & Marena (Richardson) Cox. George is buried in Spring Hill Christian Church Cemetery, Sussex Co. His marker is pictured with his Find a Grave Memorial (#52712019). The family appears in Dist. No. 1, Sussex Co., in the 1860 Census, which gives Thomas R. & Marina Cocks (fam #70, pp. 8-9).
