Clements was a native of Isle of Wight County. He had retired as a farmer. He was a member and former deacon of Antioch Congregational Christian Church. He was a member of Windsor Ruritan Club. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Barrett Clements; a son, Carter R. Clements of Windsor; four sisters, Winifred C. Brinkley, Ethel C. Gwaltney and Chloe C. Edwards, all of Suffolk, and Evelyn C. Hopkins of Portsmouth; and one grandchild. The funeral will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. Victor Hunter and Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Antioch Congregational Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad or to the church. ****************************************************************************** Channing Randolph Clements Channing Randolph Clements, 79, died Tuesday, July 17, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital in Suffolk. Mr. Clements was a native of Isle of Wight County. He was a retired farmer, a member of Antioch Congregational Christian Church, and a former deacon and member of the Men's Bible Class of the church. He was a member of the Windsor Ruritan Club. He was the son of the late Charles Monroe and Clara Snipes Clements. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Barrett Clements of Windsor; a son, Carter Randolph Clements of Windsor; four sisters, Mrs. Winifred C. Brinkley, Mrs. Ethel C. Gwaltney, and Mrs. Chloe C. Edwards, all of Suffolk, and Mrs. Evelyn C. Hopkins of Portsmouth; and a grandson, Andrew Randolph Clements of Windsor. Funeral services were held Friday, July 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, officiated by the Rev. Victor Hunter and Dr. R E. Brittle. Burial was in the Antioch Church Cemetery, Windsor. Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad or to the church.
