HERSEY THOMAS CONES

   NORFOLK - Hersey Thomas Cones, 52, died in a Norfolk hospital Tuesday at 8 
a.m. after an illness of eight days.

   He was a native of Isle of Wight County and had lived in Norfolk for the 
last 34 years, lately at 6266 Sewells Point Rd.

   He was a member of Norview Baptist church and was owner and operator of 
Norview Cleaners.

   He was a son of the late William Littleton Cones and Mrs. Dora Saunders of 
Suffolk.

   Besides his mother, he is survived by one son, Thomas Littleton Cones of 
Norfolk and two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Cobb of Franklin and Mrs. Bernice Oliver 
of Suffolk.

   A funeral service was conducted at Derry-Twiford Funeral Home Thursday at 1 
p.m. by Rev. Raymond Smith, pastor of Norview Baptist Church.  Burial was at 3 
p.m. in Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery, Isle of Wight County.
