COUNCILL [sic; COUNCIL], 83 Death Occurs Today Veterans Hospital In Hampton Claudius Councill, 83, died at the Veterans' Hospital in Hampton at 7:15 this morning. The body was brought to the I.O. Hill funeral home in Suffolk and will remain there until Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, when it will be taken to the Beaver Dam Church. Funeral services will be conducted at three o'clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Garland Moore. Mr. Councill is survived by one nephew, F.L. Butler, of Portsmouth; one niece, Mrs. B.C. Eley of Suffolk, and several great nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers at the funeral will be J.E. Rose, Willie Winborne, Johnny Rose, Tommy Daughtrey, S.V. Butler, A.R. Butler, John Duke, and Goode Johnson. Friends of the family will be honorary pallbearers. ****************************************************************************** Councill [sic; Council] Funeral At Beaver Dam Saturday, 3 P. M. The funeral of Claudius Council, 83, will be held in Beaver Dam Church tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock by the Rev. Garland Moore. Mr. Council died at the Veterans' Hospital in Hampton yesterday morning, and the body was taken to the R.W. Baker funeral home, instead of to the I.O. Hill funeral home as previously stated.
