Councill of Isle of Wight County died very suddenly at Carrsville, Va., of heart trouble on the 17th of February, 1919, aged 65 years and 5 months. The funeral services were held at Beaver Dam Church on Friday at 3:30 o’clock, Rev. C.H. Rowland of Franklin conducting the services. Mr. Councill is survived by his second wife, who was Miss Estelle Whitley of Hampton, Va., two sisters, Miss Margaret Councill and Mrs. Robert Saunders, and one brother, Julius Councill of Carrsville; two nephews, Willard and Godwin Councill, of Richmond. The following friends acted as pallbearers, J.L. Councill, Claud Councill, A.R. Butler, S.V. Butler, J.P. Butler, Eddie Whitley, S.T. Saunders, John Powell. The honorary pallbearers were, J.T. Bradshaw, W.L. Bryant, G.W. Scott and R.B. White. The floral designs were many and beautiful.
