Council of Isle of Wight, died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.A. Council on Middle Street, Franklin, after a long illness. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Council is survived by a son, Joshua J. Council, of Portsmouth; tow gandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Cherry Bland of Walters. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of Mrs. W.A. Council. The Rev. R.D. Stephenson officiated. Burial was in Beaver Dam Church. ****************************************************************************** MARGARET E. COUNCILL Mrs. Margaret E. Councill, 81, widow of J.J. Councill of Isle of Wight County, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.A. Councill, in Franklin Saturday, September 28, after an illness of many months. Besides her daughter she is survived by a son, Joshua Councill, of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. Cherry Bland of Walters; three grandchildren, Miss Nellie Councill and Harry Councill of Franklin and William Councill of Portsmouth, several nieces and one nephew. Mrs. Councill was a native of Isle of Wight County but had had her home in Franklin for several years. She was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the residence conducted by Rev. R.D. Stephenson. Interment was made in the Beaver Dam Church Cemetery. Mrs. F.E. Howell, Mrs. H.G. Cobb, Frank and Percy Bunch and E.K. Brinkley sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Sweet Bye and Bye." Active pallbearers were J.H. Gardner, E.L. Beale, R.L. Wellons, C.P. Monaghan, Jr., Joe Johnson, John Beaton, W.H. Jones and F.L. Whitley. Margaret Elizabeth (HARCUM*; Mrs. John J.)
