MARGARET JANE COUNCILL

   Miss Margaret Jane Councill, died Tuesday morning at her home in the Beaver 
Dam community in her 70th year.  She was the daughter of the late Benjamin D. 
and Mrs. Elizabeth Gardner Councill and is the last of a family of five boys 
and three girls.  She is survived by two nephews, Willard W. and R. Godwin 
Councill of Richmond, and many relatives in this section.  A faithful member 
of Beaver Dam Baptist Church for 45 years, funeral services were conducted by 
its Pastor, Rev. W.B. Denson, Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock, interment 
being made in the churchyard cemetery.  The body bearers were: B.W., M.G., 
K.G. and J.E. Councill, Dr. C.J. Bradshaw, Charlie Coffman, R.A. Bittle and J. 
Lam Harcum.
