AREA DEATHS

MRS. ADA B. CARR 

  ZUNI - Mrs. Ada Bailey Carr, 70, died Tuesday morning in her home. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Thomas M. Carr Sr. 
and a daughter of Quincy R. and Mrs. Cora Mumford [sic; Munford] Bailey.  She 
was an organizer and charter member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. 

  Surviving are three sons, T.M. Carr Jr., Frederick G. Carr and Lawrence B. 
Carr of Zuni; and seven grandchildren. 

  A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Purviance Funeral 
Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. Harry B. Christie.  Burial will be in Antioch 
Christian Church Cemetery near Windsor.

D.Cert. 11651 (Chuckatuck #130) gives his mother's maiden name as MUMFORD. 
   The surname drifted in the 19th Century from MOUNTFORT/MOUNTFORTT to 
   MOUNTFORD, then to MUMFORD/MUNFORD. 

Her father (circa 1854 - 1954) was buried in Disputanta, Prince George Co.
