CARR ZUNI - Mrs. Ada Bailey Carr, 70, died Tuesday morning in her home. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Thomas M. Carr Sr. and a daughter of Quincy R. and Mrs. Cora Mumford [sic; Munford] Bailey. She was an organizer and charter member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Surviving are three sons, T.M. Carr Jr., Frederick G. Carr and Lawrence B. Carr of Zuni; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. Harry B. Christie. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery near Windsor. The surname drifted in the 19th Century from MOUNTFORT/MOUNTFORTT to MOUNTFORD, then to MUMFORD/MUNFORD. Her father (circa 1854 - 1954) was buried in Disputanta, Prince George Co.
