GEORGE THOMAS LEE CARR

   George Thomas Carr, aged 69, died Sunday at his home at Windsor after a 
long illness.  He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Carr, and is 
survived by his wife, Mrs. Alida Benton [sic*] Carr; a daughter, Mrs. 
Lawrence Whitfield; a son W.T. Carr, two sisters, Mrs. G.F. Pierce and Mrs. 
W.W. Butler and two brothers, C.B. and Yalvin Carr, all of the Windsor 
community.

   Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at 
Windsor Baptist Church. The Rev. J. Sidney Cobb officiating.

His widow's name is scrambled in the text - should read Lydia A. Beaton; 
   they m. 1 May 1902.  He 1m. 18 Feb 1897 Novella Griffin.
