CARR Windsor, Va., Feb. 24. - Funeral services for L.H. Carr, 73, prominent Isle of Wight County resident who died Saturday, were conducted today at Mt. Carmen [sic; Carmel] Christian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Howard, the pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. R.P. Welch, pastor of Black Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Active pallbearers were J.K. Wade, J.B. Bland, E.T. Bradshaw, J.U. Carr, E.W. Ballard, S.T. Carr, R.H. Joyner and R.T. Bowden; honorary, F.J. Carr, Edward Bradshaw, W.E. Wade, R.L. Mumford [sic; Munford], R.L. Lewis, R.P. Beale, H.C. Butler, T.B. Williams, L.H. Howell, Otis V. Joyner and C.H. Joyner. Besides his wife, Mrs. Sarah Carr, Mr. Carr is survived by a son, C.C. Carr, of Walters, and two daughters, Mrs. J.K. Wade, of Franklin, and Mrs. E.T. Bradshaw, of Walters.
