A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of John T. and Mrs. Lillie Winborn Carr. He was a retired timekeeper of Bethlehem Steel Co., Baltimore. He lived here 42 years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edith Saunders Carr of Baltimore; three brothers, Presley** Carr of Zuni, Virginius Carr of Norfolk, and Eugene Carr of Windsor; and four sisters, Mrs. Idonia Bradshaw, Mrs. Lillie B. Darden, Mrs. Doris C. Johnson, and Mrs. Catherine C. Darden of Carrsville. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, Va., by the Rev. Larry McCall. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery near Windsor, Va. The family will be at the home of Dana B. Saunders near Windsor.
