JOHN THOMAS CARR

   John Thomas Carr, Sr., died Wednesday morning at his home in Zuni after 
a brief illness. Mr. Carr was 69 years of age.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Millie* Winborne Carr; four daughters, 
Mrs. Aubrey Bradshaw, Misses Katherine, Doris, Millie Blanche Carr, all of 
Zuni, and five sons, J. Winborne, Virginius, J.T., Jr., Eugene and Pressley, 
all of Zuni.

   Funeral services will be held this (Friday) afternoon at 2 o’clock at 
Antioch Church, conducted by the Rev. C.E. Gerringher.  Burial will be in 
the church cemetery.

  John Thomas Carr, Sr., 69, died Feb. 6th at his home near Zuni, after a 
short illness.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Millie* Winborne Carr; four daughters, Mrs. 
Aubrey Bradshaw, Misses Katherine, Doris, Millie Blanche Carr, all of Zuni, 
and five sons, J. Winborne, Virginius, J.T., Jr., Eugene and Pressley, all of

His wife's name was Lillie, not Millie.  They m. 26 Dec 1897, in Nansemond Co. 
   (FamilySearch.org "Virginia Marriages") 

Lillie's D.Cert. # gives her mother wrong - "Antoinette Harris." 
   John Richard Sr. {Feb 1851 - 21 Dec 1928} & Angie Etta (HARRISON) WINBORNE 
   {2 Jun 1868 - 23 Jan 1925} are buried in Great Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, 
   Whaleyville, apparently unmarked.
